*Kurawanka - is the name of inexpensive blue-&-white porcelain domestic ware, originally from Hasami, Nagasaki Prefecture, and its name is originated from the food-selling small boat called "Kurawanka-fune". "Kurawanka" would be linguistically translated today as "Hey, why don't you eat some, fool?!" as reviling and provocative folk expression, and was the sales catchphrase for selling food and drink to passenger boat by using this kind of rental bowls.
