Folk bamboo creel called ‘biku’, actually used in Niigata region as its provenance. Lovely shape with such primitive “short legs” as seen. Signed as ‘sado’ of the owner’s local family name (as fisherman) or of its Island of Sado itself. Highly recommended for tea ceremonial use as a hanging vase, as Art of ‘mitate’. approx. Height 23cm (9.05in), Width 20cm (7.87in), Depth 20cm (7.87in)
