Folksy aged Seto stoneware bowl coated in pale yellow-green glaze, made for the daily use at the time of 19th century. approx. D 22 cm (8.66in), H 8.5 cm (3.34in)
Scarce bowl-type for such mingei Seto stoneware as it’s not usual plate-type seen generally. Unusual and very unique landscape composed of exceptionally large five ‘meato’ (removed marks of props for preventing adhesion of layered pieces in kiln-firing) and accentual green glaze-solidification as its highlights. Besides, lovely handy size and proportions for sight and for use as well. In fine well-used condition, with some small fragments of newspaper sticking to the bottom as is.
