Motif of Master Shandao (613-681) as Chinese Buddhist priest who gave great influence to the Japanese priest Honen as the founder of Jodo sect (Pure Land sect), and this is the fateful scene of that Shandao in black robe appeared to the Honen’s dream starting to shine from a lower part of his own body in gold and blowing “Buddha-figured” invocation from his mouth.
