According to the signature and calligraphy style, tanka poetry on silk composed by Oyodo as ‘tayu’ (high ranking courtesan in Edo period) who are well-known as the motif of Kunisada’s ukiyoe, – ‘Oyodo of the Daikokuya in Sumi-cho’. Elegant composition of mounting attached with makie lacquered scroll-ends, with expected damages as stains, holes, and rip. Attached with wooden box. Late Edo period, 19th century.
